What we collect

• Details you give us in an enquiry — your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, the site or location concerned and the content of your message.
• Information you provide during a commission, which may include ownership details, title information, plans, correspondence and technical reports.
• Technical information recorded by our hosting provider, such as IP address and request logs, kept for security and to keep the website available.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss whether we can help.
• To provide the services set out in our written agreement with you.
• To keep professional records of advice given, as expected of a planning practice.
• To meet legal, regulatory and insurance obligations.

Our lawful basis

Where we are acting for you, we process personal information to perform our contract with you. Where you have made an enquiry, or where we keep records of advice, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to potential clients and maintaining proper professional records. Where we rely on consent — for example if you ask to receive occasional updates — you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

• Associates and specialist consultants working on your project, where this is necessary and with your knowledge.
• Planning authorities, statutory consultees and appeal bodies, where a submission requires it.
• Service providers who support the practice, including our website host and email provider, under appropriate terms.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Planning applications are public

Planning applications, representations and appeal submissions are placed on a public register by the relevant authority. Information submitted as part of those processes, which can include names and addresses, is published by that authority under its own rules. Please tell us before submission if you have a concern about this.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become instructions are kept for a short period and then deleted. Project records are kept for as long as needed for the matter, and afterwards for the period required by our professional and insurance obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, contact us at Email to be confirmed.
